Arizona State took 98% of spread money at DraftKings despite drawing only 53% of spread bets in its evening report on the Hawaii game. The article quoted the Sun Devils at −20.5; Hawaii held the other 47% of spread bets and just 2% of the money.
The moneyline pointed the other way. Hawaii accounted for only 8% of outright-win bets but 66% of the money, with +900 quoted in the report. At that snapshot price, a hypothetical $100 Hawaii wager would earn $900 in profit for an upset.
Those wagers want different finishes. An Arizona State win by exactly 20 would lose both a Sun Devils −20.5 ticket and a Hawaii moneyline ticket. A win by 21 or more would cash the favorite’s spread bet; a Hawaii upset would cash the long-shot moneyline. The split gives this DraftKings sample two very different results to watch.
