That move changes the finish line for Over bettors. A combined score of 46 or 47 pays an Over 45.5 ticket but loses an Over 47.5 ticket. The same final score can be a winner for one customer and a loser for another.
Texans–Titans has the other kind of action. BetMGM reports an even total bet count, yet 79% of the money is on the Under. Its total is down from 39.5 to 38. Using the rounded shares, the average Under stake is about 3.8 times the average Over stake. An even number of tickets has left very uneven money in this book’s sample.
